Produced in Barbastro, DO Somontano, the wine 12 Lunas is produced by bodega El Grillo y la Luna.
This blended Spanish a red wine is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo, with some Merlot and a tiny amount of Syrah.
Harvested at an optimal ripening point, each of the varieties of this red wine from Somontano were vinified separately in stainless steel tanks under strict temperature control.
Afterwards, the different wine musts were fermented, macerated with the skins and put into 2nd and 3rd year 225-litre French oak barrels. After that, the wine 12 Lunas 2021 was aged for 9 months, blended and filtered through gravity before bottling.
A nice Crianza red wine, this will pair excellently with rice dishes and meat recipes.

Palate | This wine of the El Grillo y la Luna winery is medium-bodied, with velvety tannins and a crisp acidity. Liquorice, plums, toast and dry earth. Medium finish with some mineral and spicy remembrances. |
