Red Wine Abat Domènech 2017
Availability: In stock
The red wine Abat Domènech is a single vineyard wine produced from organically certified vines grown in steep slate and rocky slopes on the right bank of the Montsant river, near the village of Gratallops, in the very heart of DOQ Priorat.
Produced by Celler Cesca Vicent, this Spanish red wine is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache, Carignan and Syrah, all of which were planted in the 1980s.
The grapes were picked up by hand and separately vinified. First, they were cold-macerated and femented in stainless steel tanks, with two daily rackings. Then this Crianza red wine was transferred into 300-litre French oak barrels and aged for 12 months. After that, it was blended and bottled unfiltered.
Finally, the red wine Abat Domènech 2017 was aged for several years in the bottle before its commercial release.
Decant this Priorat red wine 2 hours before drinking.
Very limited production.
