The top-shelf Cava Albert de Vilarnau Chardonnay Pinot Noir is produced by the Vilarnau winery.
This Spanish sparkling wine is made from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes coming from organically farmed vineyards planted in 1991.
Both were harvested in late August. The Pinot grapes were picked at dusk and, once in the cellar, they were crushed, after which the wine must was immediately separated from the skins in order not to get any colour.
Fermented in stainless steel tanks, the cava Albert de Vilarnau Chardonnay Pinot Noir 2016 was then blended, bottled and completed secondary fermentation. After that, it was aged for a minimum of 40 months.
This elegantly packaged vegan cava will be an excellent choice for accompanying a multi-course dinner.
