Produced by the Albet i Noya winery, 3 Macabeus is a varietal Spanish white wine from Penedès.
It is made from Macabeo vines around 60 years of age planted in clayey-limestone, magnesium-rich soils scattered across three different vineyards: El Pou de la Pedra, La Casilla and Les Tuies.
Harvested by hand, the grapes were selected in the vineyard. Once in the cellar, they were cold-soaked and separately vinified.
Then this organic white wine was fermented in stainless steel tanks, after which it was cold-stabilized and gently filtered. Finally, Albet i Noya 3 Macabeus 2022 was bottled with a screw cap.
This is a very versatile Penedès white wine.

Mc Abeu
Macabeu is one of the grapes of Cava, but I think it works very well alone. A smooth palate wine, very adaptable when it comes to food pairing.
