Produced by Adega Algueira, the winery that put the DO Ribeira Sacra on the map, the red wine Algueira Patrimonio is a nice Crianza aged in the bottle for a substantial period of time.
A blend of Mencía, Sousón and Grenache, this Spanish red wine is sourced from scenic vineyards planted on impossibly steep slopes along the banks of the Sil river.
Before fermenting in stainless steel tanks, the grapes were destemmed and cold-macerated. After that, the red wine Algueira Patrimonio 2018 was transferred into French oak barrels and aged for a period of 10 months.
Once bottled, this red wine from Ribeira Sacra was stored in the cellar for several years before hitting the market.
