Produced by the famed Jorge Ordóñez through his company Bodegas Volver, the wine Alicante Bouschet by Tarima is a blend of old-vines Monastrell and Alicante Bouschet, a variety better known in Spain as Garnacha Tintorera.

Hand-harvested, the grapes were sorted from 40 to 85-year-old vineyards grown in limestone soils at 700 metres of altitude. Each variety was separately vinified.

First, this Spanish red wine from DO Alicante was fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel tanks under controlled temperature.

After that, the red wine Alicante Bouschet by Tarima 2020 was transferred into French oak barrels, where it went through malolactic fermentation and was aged for 18 months. After that, this red wine from Alicante was blended and bottled.

We suggest aerating this Crianza red wine 40 minutes before drinking.

Pair with Ibérico ham, game dishes and roast recipes.
