Appearance |
The red wine Alto Siós is medium ruby with purple tinges. |
Nose |
Lively aromas of wild berries, with some spicy touches and notes of menthol, chocolate, and wet earth. Complex and nuanced, this blend of Syrah, Tempranillo and Grenache also suggests a note of flowers and licorice. |
Palate |
Gentle, well-balanced and sustained by a tight acidity. This wine from Costers del Sió carries a respectable amount of black fruit, some bitter notes and some spicy touches. Tannins are nicely rounded, and the aftertaste is long and slightly toasted. |
Our personal opinion |
The red wine Alto Siós 2022 is an excellent value from Costers del Segre, a promising wine region northwest of Barcelona. |
