Amer Picon Biere
Availability: In stock
A bittersweet French liqueur, Amer Picon Biere is primarily used as a cocktail ingredient, since it appears in many of the first bartending books.
However, this French liqueur can also be added to beer to give it a bitter twist. It is also an excellent aperitif
It is made from bitter oranges, gentian root and chinchona bark. The original recipe was created in 1830 by one Gaétan Picon.
Reddish in colour, with some coppery reflections, the Amer Picon biere yields aromas of spices, citrus and wheat. The palate is orangey and gently bitter, halfway between vermouth and beer.
Drink on the rocks before a meal, or pair with tapas.
