Details
The wine Artadi Valdeginés is one of the bottlings of the "Vinos de Parcela" (aka Single Vineyard) collection of wines of Bodegas Artadi, one of the most prestigious producers in Rioja Alavesa.
This varietal Spanish red wine is solely sourced from a east-oriented, certified organic 4.10-hectare Tempranillo vineyard planted between 1989 and 1992, in an area of loamy soils with a high limestone content situated on the vicinity of Laguardia.
Meticulously harvested and selected, the grapes went through a pre-fermentation cold maceration for 24 to 48 hours before fermenting in stainless steel tanks for 10 to 12 days, with pump-overs and punch-downs.
After that, the red wine Artadi Valdeginés 2021 underwent malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and was aged for a period of 12 months. Bottled on May 2023, it was kept for a further 12 months in the cellar before hitting the market.
We suggest decanting this red wine from Rioja Alavesa 1 hour before drinking.
