Details
The renowned Artadi winery presents the wine Artadi Viña El Pisón, the crowning jewel of its catalogue and a legendary Spanish red wine in its own right.
A varietal Tempranillo, this Crianza red wine is produced from an exceptional east-oriented 2.4-hectare vineyard planted 80 years ago in Laguardia, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa, at 480 metres above sea level.
Farmed following the guidelines of organic agriculture, the vineyard has loam-clay soils with deep layers of calcium carbonate.
The hand-picked, meticulously selected grapes were macerated for 24 to 48 hours before fermenting for 10 to 12 days in stainless steel tanks, with periodic pump-overs and punch-downs of the solid skin cap.
The the red wine Artadi Viña el Pisón 2021 was transferred into French oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was subsequently aged for 12 months.
This red wine from Rioja Alavesa was bottled in June 2023.
Decant 1 hour before drinking at the very least.
5,500 bottles produced.
