Red Wine Augustus Cabernet Franc 2022

Based in DO Penedès, the Avgvstvs Forvm winery produces the wine Augustus Cabernet Franc from one of the rare Cabernet Franc vineyards currently existing in Catalonia. Located only 3 km from the sea, the organically farmed vines grow under a mild Mediterranean climate.

After the harvest, the grapes were macerated for 11 days with the skins and then fermented under a strict temperature control. Then this Spanish red wine was aged for 12 months in 300-litre 2nd and 3rd year French oak barrels.

Finally, the red wine Augustus Cabernet Franc 2022 was gently filtered and clarified before bottling. Prior to its commercial release, this organic red wine was further aged for 12 months in the bottle.

It is advisable to aerate this red wine from Penedès 30 minutes before drinking.
