A varietal Tempranillo from DOCa Rioja, the wine Biga de Luberri is produced by the family-run winery Luberri-Familia Monje Amestoy.
This elegant Spanish red wine was sourced from vines grown in clay limestone soils at 500 metres of altitude, near the village of Elciego,
Hand-harvested during the first half of October, the grapes were selected on site, fermented in stainless steel tanks and then macerated for 10 days. After that, this red wine from La Rioja was transferred into French and American oak barrels.
Before being bottled, the wine Biga de Luberri 2021 was aged for 12 months in the barrels.
