Produced by L'Olivera Cooperativa, the 2023 vintage of the wine Blanc de Marges comes with a new image, a new grape composition and a rethought, minimal intervention approach to winemaking.
A blend of 45% Xarel·lo, 35% White Grenache and 20% Malvasia, the grapes were picked by hand began fermenting on site with native yeasts. The fermentation process of this Spanish white wine was finished in stainless steel tanks in the winemaking facilities, with no temperature control and no added sulfites.
After that, the wine Blanc de Marges 2023 from DO Costers del Segre went straight into the bottle.
The name of this organic white wine, "Blanc de Marges", comes from the fact that the vineyards are located on side terraces bounded by small dry stone walls, known as "marges" in the area.
It should be noted that L'Olivera Cooperativa is an exemplary social coop which has been working in favour of the economic and social integration of the intellectually disabled since in its inception.
