Red Wine Braó 2021
Availability: In stock
The wine Braó is an excellent Spanish red wine crafted by the talented winemaker Albert Jané, head of Acústic Celler.
This is one of the best expressions of the southern Catalan region of Montsant. A wine region, whose terroir shares many traits with the neighbouring - and more expensive - Priorat.
Made essentially from Samsó (Carignan) with a tinge of Grenache, the grapes are sourced from 60-year-old, low-yielding, certified organic vines grown in rocky soils.
Manually harvested and selected at the vineyard, the grapes were brought to the cellar in little boxes and macerated with several daily pump-overs.
Once alcoholic fermentation was completed, the wine Braó 2021 was transferred into new and 2nd year French oak barrels, where this Crianza red wine completed malolactic fermentation and was subsequently aged for 12 months.
Neither filtered nor clarified prior to its bottling, this red wine from Montsant should be decanted at least 1 hour before you drink it.
Appearance | The red wine Braó is deep ruby with a reddish hue on the rim. |

Nose | At first, this blend of old vines Grenache and Carignan suggests aromas of blackberries and raspberries, with subtle touches of cinnamon and vanilla and notes of Mediterranean undergrowth and garrigue. There is a deep minerality, in the form of wet stones and slate. |
Palate | Bold and meaty, this wine from Acústic Celler shows depth and richness. Fruit and oak are nicely balanced, underpinned by deep mineral and earthy notes. Fresh and textured, with ripe tannins and a very long finish. |
Our personal opinion | The proof that the much disputed "minerality" in wines very probably exists is right here. Enjoy the wine Braó 2021 alone or pair it with hearty dishes. |
