Red Wine Bru de Verdú 14 2020

The new vintage of the wine Bru de Verdú 14 is crafted from a blend of Syrah and Tempranillo.
Made in the northern Catalan region of Costers del Segre, the grapes of this Spanish red wine were meticulously harvested, destemmed and gently crushed.
After that, they were fermented at a controlled temperature with daily stirrings.
Then this Crianza red wine of Celler Cercavins was transferred into new and 2nd year French, American and Hungarian oak barrels, where it completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 17 months.
Finally, the wine Bru de Verdu 14 2020 was blended and kept for a further 30 days in stainless steel tanks.

Nose | Complex and characterful, this blend of Tempranillo and Syrah smells of prunes and red berries, with hints of Tahitian vanilla, toast and hazelnuts, intertwined with aromas of spices, chocolate, balsam and tobacco. |
Palate | This wine of Celler Cercavins is well-structured and fresh, with notes of red fruit alongisde remembrances of wet undergrowth, spices, cocoa and flowers over a mineral background. Ripe tannins and long finish with some creamy and herbal remembrances. |
Our personal opinion | Substantial and nicely crafted, the wine Bru de Verdú 14 2020 proves again than Costers del Segre is becoming an increasingly interesting wine producing region. |
