Details

The wine Bruto is a joint venture between famed winemaker Juan Gil and Spanish actor Imanol Arias.

This varietal Spanish red wine is made from old Monastrell vines around 60 years of age, planted in limestone soils at 800 metres of altitude, in the heart of DO Jumilla. Hand-picked and exhaustively sorted, the grapes were fermented in stainless steel tanks.

After finishing the process, this red wine from Jumilla went through the malo in French and American oak barrels, after which the red wine Bruto 2022 was aged in the barrels for a period of 24 months before bottling. It was shortly aged in the cellar before hitting the market.

12,000 bottles produced.

Decant this vegan red wine 1 hour before serving.

Appearance

The red wine Bruto is deep purple with some violet reflections.

Nose

The oak takes center stage, boasting aromas of vanilla, eastern spices and coco, with ripe black cherries and hints of balsam, ground coffee, cedar and chocolate. This old vines Monastrell is generous and powerful.

Palate

This wine of Juan Gil is full-bodied and opulent, with some chalky, tasty tannins and a rich sweetness to the massive black fruit, balanced with a good freshness and a lively acidity. Very long finish, suggesting some toasted and exotic remembrances.

Our personal opinion

The wine Bruto 2022 is an old-style, generously oaked fruit bomb.
