Red Wine Camino Romano 2020
Availability: In stock
A varietal Tinto Fino, Camino Romano is produced by Dominio Romano, a branch of the well-known Parés Baltà winery.
Coming from DO Ribera del Duero, this Spanish red wine is made from from 15 to 30-year-old vines certified organic and situated near the village of Rábano, Valladolid.
Searching to convey the freshest and fruitiest side of the Tinto Fino variety, the grapes were meticulously harvested, cold-macerated, and fermented for about 3 weeks in stainless steel tanks.
After that, this Ribera del Duero red wine was aged for 8 months in 2nd and 3rd year Hungarian and French 400-litre oak barrels
Delicately filtered prior to its bottling, Camino Romano 2020 may present some sediment. Thus, we suggest that you decant it.
Pair this organic red wine with sautéed vegetables, cold cuts and BBQ'd meats.
Appearance | The red wine Camino Romano has a clean, bright, crimson colour with a violet rim. |

Nose | Intense notes of ripe berries, particularly blueberries and mulberries, along with well-integrated wooden and spicy notions. The nose shows that the ageing of this varietal Tinto Fino was made in the best way to allow the fruit show its great quality. On the background, there are some aromas of aromatic herbs and remembrances of dry earth and smoke. |
Palate | Round, pleasant and, again, lighter than the average Ribera del Duero wine. This red wine from bodega Dominio Romano is vivid and spacious, with juicy black fruit, a touch of black pepper and flowers, and suggestions of spices, earth and balsam. Crunchy tannins, tense acidity and long, fresh finish. |
Our personal opinion | Deliciously drinkable, yet full of local character, Camino Romano 2020 is a nicely balanced wine. |
