Produced by the Huguet de Can Feixes winery, Can Feixes Chardonnay sits halfway between a Burgundian and a Californian Chardonnay.

This varietal Spanish white wine is made from vineyards located in some of the highest and freshest areas in DO Penedès.

Manually harvested, the grapes were meticulously selected both on site and in the cellar. Made only from the "free-run" juice obtained after a gentle pressing, this Crianza white wine was fermented in new French oak barrels.

After that, Can Feixes Chardonnay 2020 was aged on lees in the barrels for 8 months.

Finally, this organic white wine was bottled and further aged for a minimum of 8 months before its commercial release.

To enjoy it to the fullest, do aerate this white wine from Penedès some time before drinking.

Appearance	The white wine Can Feixes Chardonnay is medium yellow with some amber tinges.
Nose	This varietal Chardonnay is rich and complex. Aromas of ripe granny smith apples, pears and pineapple, with hints of spices and herbs -chamomile and eucalyptus- over a mineral background. There are also remembrances of vanilla, toast and biscuits.
Palate	This white wine from Huguet de Can Feixes is textured, lush and richy. Flavours of ripe white fruit, flowers and balsam, combined with remembrances of pastry and dry fruit. Very good acidity, great freshness and long finish with some remembrances of menthol and citrus.
Our personal opinion	A confidential Penedès, Can Feixes Chardonnay 2020 is an exquisite white wine. Limited production.

Great Chard!

Value

Once the undisputed queen of white grapes, Chardonnay's reputation seems to have diminished lately. If you want to recall why you loved Chard in the first place, I recommend that you try this one.

Value

Despite the price, I thought I'd give this Chard a try. The wine is actually very good. Limpid and very fresh. It will grow in the bottle.

Classy Chardonnay, not unworthy of its Californian peers. Smooth, spicy, very sophisticated and utterly rewarding.
