Whisky Caol Ila 12 Years Old

Produced from the best peated malt from Islay, the whisky Caol Ila 12 Year Old is the entry-level product of the Caol Ila distillery, the largest Islay distillery by output, whose origins go back to 1846.

Considered by many connoisseurs to be the best introduction into the world of Islay whisky, this exquisite Single Malt was first fermented for an extended period of time in stainless steel tanks and then distilled in copper stills. After that, this Single malt whisky from the island of Islay was aged for 12 years in ex Bourbon American oak barrels.

Straw-coloured with some golden glints, the whisky Caol Ila 12 Year Old has a rich and complex nose, with fine tobacco, smoked bacon, citrus, mint leaves and peat. The palate of this 12 year old whisky is surprisingly fresh and lively, with hints of herbs, tar and liquorice, a very gentle mouthfeel and an oily texture, ending with a medicinal note and a spicy and salty aftertaste.
