The wine Clos Galena is the top-shelf bottling of the Domini de la Cartoixa winery in DOQ Priorat.
The main variety ot this Spanish red wine is Grenache, complemented with Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan and Syrah.
The grapes come from five little certified organic parcels which were harvested at their optimal ripening point. Once in the cellar, they were macerated for 21 days, after which each variety was separately fermented in stainless steel tanks.
Blended and transferred into French oak barrels, this Crianza red wine was aged for 12 months.
Prior to its bottling, the wine Clos Galena 2019 was gently clarified with egg whites. Finally, this organic red wine was aged for 24 months in the bottle before its release.
Decant this red wine from Priorat a minimum of 1 hour before drinking.

Galena
High-profile Priorat with a medium-high price that delivers accordingly, perhaps even more than expected. Moreover, I think it will improve over time.

Impossible not to fell in love with Priorat after drinking this wine. Amazingly deep and pure.
