This is the flagship Spanish red wine of bodega Coca i Fitó, a winery based in Montsant.
The distinctive character of the wine Coca i Fitó comes from the fact that the vines are planted in limestone soils. They are located in the Falset valley, an area with a Mediterranean climate.
It is made from old-vines Carignan and Grenache, coming from vines 60 to 70 years of age, and some Syrah, sorted from younger vines.
After a traditional vinification, this Crianza red wine was aged for 14 months in 90% new French oak and 10% American oak barrels. It was fined before bottling.
This red wine from Montsant is layered and expressive.

Palate | Balance is the word here. This wine of the Coca i Fitó winery is round, deep and supple, with a smooth texture and a nice complexity. Pure notions of fruit, hints of flowers and spices and a seductive minerality. Excellent acidity, mild tannins and long finish. |
