Details
This is the new vintage of the wine Coto de Hayas Sólo Tirio Syrah of Bodegas Aragonesas.
A varietal Syrah, this Spanish red wine was produced from vineyards 20 years old on average, grown at an altitude of 400-500 metres above sea level, in DO Campo de Borja, Aragón.
Harvested in late September, the grapes were first macerated for 8 to 10 days. Then a portion of them went through a demi-carbonic maceration process, while the rest were traditionally fermented.
After that, the wine Coto de Hayas Sólo Tirio Syrah 2022 underwent malolactic fermentation. Finally, one third of the wine was aged for 2 months in oak barrels. Once bottled, it was aged for a brief period before hitting the market.
