Whisky Dalwhinnie 15 Years Old
Availability: In stock
Produced by the Dalwhinnie distillery, the highest and coldest in Scotland, the whisky Dalwhinnie 15 Years Old is born in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, in a remote area of desolate beauty. (“Dalwhinnie” is gaelic for “meeting point”.)
This Single Malt Whisky was crafted with high quality malted barley and pure spring water sourced from Lochan an Doire Uaine - meaning "Loch of the Green Thicket" - which sits at 600 metres of altitude. After a meticulous distillation in copper stills, this Single Malt Whisky matured for 15 years in ex Bourbon American oak casks.
The whisky Dalwhinnie 15 Years Old is amber coloured with some golden reflections. On the nose, this 15 year old whisky is rich and remarkably complex, with remembrances of broom honey, peat and smoke, aromas of green apples, apricots and cedar and hints of aromatic herbs. On the palate, this whisky from the Highlands is a tad spicy, well-rounded and gently dry, with a very long aftertaste suggesting citrus, flowers and a creamy oaky note.
