Whisky Deanston 12 Year Old

The whisky Deanston 12 Year Old is made by the Deanston distillery in its energetically self-sufficient facilities on the banks of the River Teigth.

After slowly fermenting the unpeated barley – locally sourced from the Scottish Highlands – this Single Malt Whisky was distilled two times. After that, this whisky from the Highlands was matured for 12 years in ex Bourbon oak casks. It was bottled with no added colour and no chill filtration.

Pale gold with some whiteish reflections, this 12 year old whisky has a compellingly luminous nose, carrying cereal, Seville bitter orange peel, Tahitian vanilla and fudge. The palate of the whisky Deanston 12 Year Old is smooth, gently waxy and polished, with suggestions of Mascabado sugar, lemon pastry and creme brulee, finishing with a medium-long note of dried ginger, clove and white pepper.
