Details

Produced by the renowned oenologist Joan Asens, the wine Les Argiles d'Orto Vins Negre from Montsant is a blended Spanish red wine made from Grenache and Carignan.

Planted in clayey soils and farmed following strictly biodynamic procedures, the grapes were first destemmed and macerated for 28 days in stainless steel tanks.

After that, the wine Les Argiles d'Orto Vins Negre 2023 was fermented in the tanks, and then it was aged in 5 to 12-year-old barrels for 3 months.

The red wine Les Argiles from the Orto Vins winery was formerly known as Terra Roja and Pedra Roja.

Appearance	The wine Les Argiles d'Orto Vins is medium purple with some garnet tinges.
Nose	This blend of Grenache and Carignan carries nice aromas of cherries and strawberries, combined with aromas of herbs, toast and flowers over a mineral, clayey (argila) background.
Palate	This wine from Orto Vins is fresh and fruity. Creamy touches of spices, fresh suggestions of Mediterranean garrigue and some hints of wild berries and flowers. Ripe tannins and a long, pleasant finish.
Our personal opinion	The red wine Les Argiles d'Orto Vins Negre 2023 is an honest and transparent Montsant.
