Details

A tribute of Maison Moët & Chandon to the legendary American artist of African descent Jean-Michel Basquiat, the Champagne Dom Pérignon Jean-MIchel Basquiat is a limited edition vintage Champagne.

The winery took its inspiration from "In Italian", one of the most enigmatic and captivating works of the NY-born artist.

This limited-edition Champagne is produced from a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, sorted from over 1,000 hectares of estate vineyards, which include some of the best Crus in the Champagne region.

Traditionally crafted following the Champenoise method, the Champagne Dom Pérignon 2015 Jean-Michel Basquiat was aged for over 5 years in the bottle.

This is an exclusive, one-of-a-kind Champagne.

Appearance

Clean and bright, Dom Pérignon Jean-Michel Basquiat is pale yellow with some golden tinges.

Nose

Subtle and full of charm, this blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir suggests aromas of ripe white fruit and flowers, with dim nuances of citrus, French patisserie and smoke, underscored by some mineral and salty remembrances.

Palate

Palate-caressing, fresh and full of life, this champagne from maison Moët & Chandon is amazingly pure and inviting. Very long finish, with remembrances of candied fruit, white flowers and pastry.

Our personal opinion

Definitely world-class, the Champagne Dom Pérignon 2015 Jean-Michel Basquiat is itself a work of art.
