Red Wine Dual Porrera 2022

The family-run winery Àlvarez Duran presents the wine Dual Porrera, its entry-level bottling, previously called Dual. This blended Spanish red wine is a faithful portrait of the unique terroir of Priorat.

A blend of Grenache, Carignan, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, the grapes were sorted from two vineyards, La Ràpita and Fonellàs, located on the outskirts of Porrera. Both have the typical slate soils which give the Priorat region its unique character.

After a manual harvest, each variety was separately vinified in stainless steel tanks with indigenous yeasts. Once fermentations and macerations were completed, the wine Dual Porrera 2022 was aged for 14 months in oak barrels. Before its commercial release, it was aged for about three months in the bottle.

Truly a man of the land, winemaker Sal·lustià Àlvarez has done a great job with this Crianza red wine.

We suggest that you aerate this Priorat red wine at least 30 minutes before drinking.
