The wine El Hombre Bala is made by the Uvas Felices winery in collaboration with world-famous producer Comando G.
The 2021 vintage of this Spanish red wine is, as usual, a varietal Grenache. The grapes come from 50 to 90-year-old vines grown in granitic soils and farmed following biodynamic principles. The vineyards are in the village of Cadalso de los Vidrios, at altitudes between 900 and 1,000 metres above sea level.
Although the wine bears the Vinos de Madrid label for bureaucratic reasons, the vineyards are actually located in Sierra de Gredos (Gredos mountain range), an area which is one of Spain's hottest wine spots.
After a meticulous harvest, the grape bunches were destemmed and then fermented and macerated in wooden vats and French oak barrels. Then the wine El Hombre Bala 2021 was aged for 10 months in 400 and 700-litre French oak barrels.

| Palate | Lively and elegant, this wine from Uvas Felices and bodega Comando G suggests flavours of red berries, aniseed, aromatic herbs, crunchy bacon and sweet spices. Good acidity and polished tannins. Long finish with some underbrush remembrances and hints of flowers and menthol. |
| Our personal opinion | Fresh and intense, the wine El Hombre Bala 2021 is a very nice value and a definitely terroir-bound Garnacha de Gredos. |

Bala wine
I really enjoyed this garnacha from Gredos. It is delicately mineral and very expressive. Excellent!!!
