The tequila El Jimador Reposado is named after the local farmers of the Jalisco region, who have mastered the difficult craft of cultivating and, most importantly, knowing exactly the right moment in which to harvest the blue weber agave plants, which are the origin of the very best tequila from México.
After cooking the agave piñas in traditional brick ovens, the agave must, smooth and sweet, was fermented with native yeasts. Then this reposado tequila was distilled twice to obtain a first-quality spirit. Finally, the tequila El Jimador Reposado was aged for 2 months in American oak casks.
This tequila aged in oak is straw coloured with some golden reflections. The nose carries aromas of almonds, vanilla, agave syrup and spices, with some smokey underpinnings. The palate is smooth and well-rounded, with a note of caramel and spices and a long finish with hints of smoke and herbs.
