Details
The red wine Encanteri comes from Serra de l’Albera, a mountanious area in the northernmost part of DO Empordà composed of slate soils and swept by a strong northern wind called tramuntana, two features that give this wine a characteristic personality.
A blend of Grenache, Carignan and Syrah, the grapes were meticulously harvested, after which each variety was separately vinified in stainless steel tanks with a long maceration process.
After making the final blend, one portion of this Spanish red wine underwent malolactic fermentation in the tanks, and the rest completed the process in French oak barrels. Then the first batch went through a controlled micro-oxidation process in the tanks, and the second was aged for 3 months in the barrels.
Finally, the two batches were blended and the red wine Encanteri 2022 was bottled and kept in the cellar of the Massís de L'Albera winery for 2 months minimum before hitting the market.
This red wine from Empordà will make an excellent pairing with BBQ’d meat.
