This is the new vintage of the wine Espelt ViDiví, made from certified organic vineyards situated in DO Empordà, a Catalan border region constantly swept by a harsh northern wind - also an exceptional natural sanitizing agent - called Tramuntana.

Produced from both local and international grapes, this Spanish red wine is a blend of 80% Lledoner Negre - the local name of Grenache - 10% Merlot, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.

The grapes were harvested by hand, fermented and macerated in stainless steel tanks. After that, the red wine Espelt Vidiví 2022 from Celler Espelt was aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.

This blended red wine from L'Empordà is smooth and well-balanced.

Appearance	The red wine Espelt Vidiví is medium ruby with a garnet rim and some violet glints.
Nose	Ripe aromas of plums, cranberries, figs and blackberries nuanced by touches of pepper and clove. In the background, this blend of Grenache, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon suggests subtle notions of liquorice, wet earth, leather and sandalwood.
Palate	Straightforward and honest, with a smooth texture, a substantial body and a tense acidity. Notes of liquor-infused fruit, toast, smoke and spices. This red wine from Celler Espelt has a long, complex finish.
Our personal opinion	The delicious red wine Espelt ViDiví 2022 is an astounding value.
