Product Description
Details

Previously known as Tinto Figuero 4 Meses, the entry-level Spanish red wine of Bodegas y Viñedos García Figuero is now called Figuero Asomo.

It is made from Tempranillo vines planted from 1995 onwards, in the towns of La Horra and Roa, DO Ribera del Duero.

Carefully harvested, first the grapes were cold macerated for 2 to 3 days. Then this red wine from Ribera del Duero was spontaneously fermented in stainless steel tanks.

After that, the wine Figuero Asomo 2022 completed malolactic fermentation and was aged for 6 months in French oak barrels.

Pair with BBQ'd meat and tapas.

Appearance

The red wine Figuero Asomo is medium ruby with a burgundy rim.

Nose

Fresh aromas of wild berries, red fruit, toast and balsam, typical of a varietal Tempranillo, underpinned by some seductive mineral undertones.

Palate

Agile and pleasant, this wine from Bodegas y Viñedos García Figuero shows good balance between oak and fruit. Very fresh, with flavours of red berries, rosy pepper and liquorice. Mild tannins and a long, fruity finish.

Our personal opinion

The wine Figuero Asomo 2022 will pair well with rice and white meat dishes.

This is the kind of wine I like. A fresh Tempranillo with not too much oak. You can drink it alone or with good food. Cheers!!
