Finca Vegas Baboso Blanco Viñedo Tagorito 2020
Scarce and unique, the wine Baboso Blanco Viñedo Tagorito is made by bodega Finca Vegas, the wine project of the Weytjens family, based in DO Abona, in the southern part of Tenerife.
This varietal Spanish white wine is made from Baboso Blanco, a very rare white variety indigenous to the Canary Islands. The grapes are sourced from “Viñedo Tagorito”, a single vineyard located at 65 metres of altitude, in an area with a strong coastal influence.
After a slow and extremely gentle pressing of the grapes - Champagne style – the wine must was refrigerated for 48 hours and drawn-off before being fermented in a 300-litre lightly toasted French oak barrel. This white wine from Tenerife was aged on lees for 12 months after completing fermentation.
Once bottled, the wine Finca Vegas Baboso Blanco Viñedo Tagorito 2020 was stored for about 3 years before hitting the market.
We suggest aerating this white wine from DO Abona some time before drinking.
