Details
The wine Castellana Negra – Viñedo Los Cardones is the only red wine of bodega Finca Vegas, the wine project of the Weytjens family in DO Abona, in the southern part of Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Made from the rare indigenous variety Castellana Negra, this small-batch red wine from DO Abona is sourced from estate vineyards planted at 700 metres of altitude. The hand-picked grapes were meticulously sorted and fermented in French oak barrels, after which this Spanish red wine was racked to remove the skins. Then this Crianza red wine went back into the barrels, where it completed the malo and was aged for 12 months.
After bottling, the red wine Finca Vegas Castellana Negra – Viñedo Los Cardones 2020 was stored for about 3 years in the cellar before being released onto the market.
Aerate this red wine from Tenerife some time before drinking.
