Details
Made using the ancestral method, Finca Viladellops LD Ancestral Brut Nature is an organic Spanish sparkling wine from Penedès produced by bodegas Finca Viladellops.
A varietal Xarel·lo Vermell (Red Xarel·lo), this Pétillant Naturel is made from vines located in Massís del Garraf, a coastal mountain range composed of limestone soils with an abundance of marine fossils.
Picked by hand, the grapes were meticulously selected on arriving at the cellar and macerated for 12 hours. Following the ancestral method, alcoholic fermentation started in stainless steel tanks and finished inside the bottle, with no added sugar whatsoever. After that, Finca Viladellops LD Ancestral Brut Nature 2022 was aged for about 9 months before being disgorged.
This sophisticated Pét-Nat made from a characterful native variety from Penedès will pair marvelously with rice dishes.
