Red Wine Flor de Vetus 2020
Availability: In stock
The entry-level Spanish red wine of Bodega Vetus, the wine Flor de Vetus is made from 20-year-old estate vineyards with sandy-limestone soils located at an altitude of 700 metres, in the heart of DO Toro.
A varietal Tinta de Toro, once in the cellar the grapes were destemmed, gently crushed and cold-macerated. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks.
Finally, the red wine Flor de Vetus 2020 was aged in 1st and 2nd year, 50/50 American and French oak barrels for over a period of 9 months.
Since this red wine from Toro may present some sediment, because it was neither clarified nor stabilized, we suggest that you aerate it 30 minutes before drinking.
Appearance | The red wine Flor de Vetus is medium ruby with a violet rim. |

Nose | Prominent notes of bilberries and mulberries, a primary feature of Tinta de Toro, evolving into aromas of balsam, vegetables, aromatic herbs and dim wooden notes. |
Palate | This wine from Bodegas Vetus is gentle and fruity. Notes of black plums, blackberries, menthol and some lactic touches. Chewy tannins, tense acidity and a long, fruity finish. |
Our personal opinion | The excellently priced the wine Flor de Vetus 2020 is a modern Toro. Powerful, but also fresh and easy to drink. |
