Red Wine Fuentespina Reserva 2019
Availability: In stock
This excellent Spanish red wine is produced by Avelino Vegas Bodegas from old vines aged over 70 years.
A varietal Tempranillo, the wine Fuentespina Reserva is produced in Ribera del Duero. After a meticulous harvest, the grapes were destemmed, delicately crushed and cold-macerated for 3 days in stainless steel tanks.
Then this reserva red wine was fermented with selected yeasts and macerated with the skins for another 10 days.
The malolactic fermentation of this red wine from Ribera del Duero was carried out in French and American oak barrels. After that, the wine was aged for 14 months in the barrels.
Finally, Fuentespina Reserva 2019 was bottled and aged for a further 2 years in the cellar before its commercial release.
Aerate 30 minutes before drinking.

Nose | A bit tight at the beginning, after some aeration this old-vines Tempranillo shows creamy notes of cedar, cinnamon, clove, toast, cocoa and licorice, underpinned by aromas of black fruit, wet earth and withered vegetables. |
Palate | Meaty and smooth, this wine from Avelino Vegas Bodegas has a substantial volume and a solid structure. Black fruit compote, sweet spices, tobacco, chocolate and aromatic herbs. Well-balanced, refreshing acidity, yummy tannins and long, delicate finish. |
Our personal opinion | A classic Ribera del Duero, the red wine Fuentespina Reserva 2019 pairs excellently with red dishes, casseroles and stews. |
