An interesting rosé sparkling wine of bodega Cava Gatell, Gatell Rosé Brut Nature Gran Reserva is made from two red varieties: Pinot Noir and Grenache, both authorized by the DO Cava regulatory board.
First each variety was separately fermented in French oak barrels and aged for some months. Then this rosé Cava was blended and aged for a further months in the barrels.
After that, Gatell Rosé Brut Nature Gran Reserva 2017 went through secondary fermentation in the bottle and was aged for 40 months minimum at a constant temperature of 16ºC in a cave 14 metres below ground level.
Finally, it was disgorged freezing the bottle neck and then added shipping liquor. Since it is a brut nature rosé Cava, it was added no suggar whatsoever.
This is a sexy and versatile rosé cava gran reserva.

Nose | This blend of Grenache and Pinot Noir is floral and fruit-driven, with strawberries and raspberries entwined with aromos of rose petals, sweet spices, aromatic herbs and dry fruit. |
Palate | This rosé sparkling wine of Cava Gatell is fresh and flavourful, with small bubbles and a citrusy acidity to sustain the structure. Gently bitter and berryish, very a very pleasant mouthfeel and a medium-long finish. |
