Made from an equal blend of Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Zuri Zerrate, the wine Gorka Izagirre Txakoli is a rather attractive young Spanish white wine from the Basque country produced by bodega Gorka Izagirre.
This txakolí from DO Bizkaiko Txakolina was sourced from 21 hectares of vineyards divided into 10 different plots scattered across 7 villages in the Bizkaia area. The vines are 10 to 20 years of age.
Hand-harvested in October, each variety and each individual plot was separately vinified in stainless steel tanks. After that, the white wine Gorka Izagirre Txakoli 2023 was blended and bottled.
This Atlantic-influenced unwooded white wine from the Basque Country will pair nicely with creamy cheeses, white meat and fish recipes.

Top Txakoli!! I had it while eating in Bilbao's parte vieja and found it superb. Crisp, lean and mineral.
