Details
The wine Guímaro Mencía is the entry-level red of Bodega Guímaro, one Ribeira Sacra’s best-known producers.
This blended young red wine is made from 85% Mencía and 15% of other local varieties (Brancellao, Sousón, Merenzao...) sourced from vines 35 years old on average, grown in slate, granite and sandy soils.
After a manual harvest, this Spanish red wine went through a brief cold maceration before fermenting in stainless steel tanks. Then the red wine Guímaro Mencía 2023 was kept on its lees in the diposits for 6-8 months, after which it went straight into the bottle.
Aerate before drinking.
