Launched in 1974, the premium tequila Herradura Reposado was the world’s first reposado. From the moment it was released, this tequila from Jalisco became the standard for all the reposados that were to follow.
Made from the best Blue Agave Weber plants grown in the Jalisco highlands, this premium tequila of the Casa Herradura distillery went through a very meticulous crafting process. The Agave piñas were first roasted in traditional brick ovens and then fermented with selected yeasts, after which this tequila reposado was distilled twice. Finally, this tequila from México was aged for 11 months in charred American white oak casks.
Amber-coloured with some golden reflections, the Herradura Reposado tequila has a complex nose, showcasing aromas of vanilla, Agave syrup, cedar, citrus and wild herbs. The palate of this tequila aged in oak is luscious and well-rounded, with sweet spices, dry fruit, aniseed and roasted Agave, ending with a honey-ish and toasted remembrance.
