Red Wine Jean Leon Vinya Le Havre 2020
Availability: In stock
The red wine Jean Leon Vinya Le Havre is named after the French port from which the Spaniard Ceferino Carrión, later known as Jean Leon, left Europe as a stowaway on a cargo ship to pursue the American Dream.
This excellent Spanish red wine celebrates the success of that adventure, which allowed Mr. Carrión, many years later, to start his own wine producing company in his native land.
A trypical Bordeaux blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, this organic and vegan red wine from Penedès is sourced from vines planted in 1968 in Finca Le Havre, a 12-hectare vineyard composed of clay-limestone soils.
The harvest was done by hand. After a meticulous selection, the grapes were destemmed and then this red wine from Penedès was fermented in stainless steel tanks.
After that, the wine Jean Leon Le Havre 2020 went through malolactic fermentation in French and American oak barrels, where it was subsequently aged for 12 months.
Finally, this Reserva red wine was aged for 24 months in the cellar prior to its commercial release.
Decant this Vino de Finca (single vineyard wine) 1 hour before drinking.
