White Wine L’Avi Arrufí Blanc 2022
White wine from Terra Alta. Varietal old-vines White Grenache fermented and aged for 7 months in French oak barrels.
Availability: In stock
A varietal White Grenache, the wine L’Avi Arrufí Blanc pays homage to the founder of bodega Celler Piñol, a household name from DO Terra Alta.
A single parcel Spanish white wine, the grapes were sourced solely from Finca Mas Vell, a vineyard with clay-limestone soils planted with 65-year-old vines and situated in the village of Batea, Tarragona.
The hand-harvested grapes were fermented in new French oak barrels at a temperature of 20ºC. After that, the white wine L'Avi Arrufí Blanc 2022 was aged in the barrels for 7 months with periodic stirrings of the lees.
We suggest that you aerate this white wine fermented and aged in oak some time before drinking.
Pair this white wine from Terra Alta with risottos, fish dishes, creamy cheeses and white meat recipes.
Appearance | The white wine L’Avi Arrufí Blanc is medium yellow with some golden tinges. |

Nose | This varietal White Grenache is quite intense. Luscious aromas of orchard fruit, ripe pineapples and white flowers, with a touch of smoke and spices, a hint of aromatic herbs and some mineral undertones. |
Palate | The palate of this white wine from Celler Piñol is lush and flavourful. Although its complexity is still unfurling, the wine already shows some depth and intricacy, with a steely acidity keeping everything in the right place. Very long finish with rich suggestions of spices, smoke and ripe white fruit. |
Our personal opinion | With some very good years ahead of it, the wine L'Avi Arrufí Blanc 2022 can compete with, say, some illustrious Chardonnays or Viogniers twice o thrice its price. |
