Like its white sibling, L’Origan Rosé Brut Nature is a rather uncommon Spanish sparkling wine. It is the result of combining wines of different vintages, a method that, while common in the Champagne region, is almost never used in the DO Cava.
This rosé sparkling wine of bodega L’Origan-Gastón Coty is a blend of 55% Pinot Noir of the 2007 vintage, 30% Pinot Noir of the 2006 vintage, 9% Chardonnay and 6% Chard. of the 2004 vintage, previously aged in oak barrels.
Traditionally vinified, this non-vintage rosé sparkling wine was traditionally vinified in stainless steel tanks. Once alcoholic fermentation was completed, L’Origan Rosé Brut Nature was blended and aged for 132 months in the cellar before hitting the market.
This is an extremely versatile, rather sophisticated rosé Cava from Penedès.
