White Wine Lagar da Condesa 2021
Availability: In stock
This is the new vintage of Lagar da Condesa, produced by the Lagar da Condesa winery, a branch of Gil Family Estates.
This varietal Spanish white wine is made from Albariño vineyards situated in Val de Salnés, in the heart of DO Rías Baixas. The vines grow in soils made of sand and granite which have a very good water drainage, a crucial feature considering the abundance of rainfall in that Galician region.
Harvested and transported in little boxes, the grapes were selected, destemmed and cold-soaked before being crushed. Then the wine juice was transferred into stainless steel tanks and into 500-litre and 600-litre oak barrels, where Lagar da Condesa 2021 was fermented under controlled temperature.
Finally, this white wine aged on lees was aged for 4 months on lees to obtain a smoother, well-rounded wine.
Pair this white wine from Rías Baixas with shrimp, finger food, rice dishes and sushi.
Appearance | The white wine Lagar da Condesa is medium straw with grey tinges. |

Nose | Straightforward and well-defined, this Albariño smells of apples, pears and delicate lemony touches. In the background, there are hints of fennel, honey and ripe tropical fruit over a mineral background. |
Palate | Fresh and savoury, this wine from Lagar da Condesa has volume, texture and a crisp acidity. Long finish with notes of bitter herbs and rosy pomelo. |
Our personal opinion | Utterly Atlantic, Lagar da Condesa 2021 proves again that the Gil Family has a keen eye for the best Spanish terroirs. |
