Availability: In stock
One of the best introductions to the Priorat region, the wine Les Crestes is produced by the Mas Doix winery.
This blended Spanish red wine is made from Grenache, Carignan and Syrah. The grapes are sourced from terraced and sloped vineyards with llicorella (slate) soils 10 to 25 years old.
After a manual harvest, the grapes were sorted twice and carefully vinified.
Alcoholic fermentation was carried out in stainless steel tanks with periodic punch-downs. Then the red wine Les Crestes 2023 was drawn-off and aged for 4-6 months: one quarter in concrete diposits, one quarter in big oak vats and the rest in used French oak barrels. The wine was not filtered or clarified before bottling.
It is advisable to decant this red wine from Priorat 30 minutes before drinking.
Appearance | The red wine Les Crestes is deep ruby with a violet rim. |

Nose | This blend of Grenache, Carignan and Syrah winery has the fruit on the forefront. And a nice fruit it is! Liquor-infused blackberries, cranberries, intense aromas of menthol and Mediterranean herbs, some liquorice and a remarkable mineral background. |
Palate | This wine from bodega Mas Doix is taut and fresh. Meaty, savoury fruit, dim spicy nuances, deep balsamic and mineral notes, yummy tannins, still a bit young, and a long earthy finish. |
Our personal opinion | The wine Les Crestes 2023 is supple and hedonistic. |
