Red Wine Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Labastida 2021

The vineyards bordering the Granja Ntra. Sra. de Remelluri estate are halfway between the villages of Labastida and San Vicente de la Sonsierra.
Despite the fact that these two villages are not far from one another, the vineyards produce two substantially different wines: one is the crisp, elegant red wine Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Labastida; the other is Remelluri Viñedos de San Vicente, typically riper and more concentrated.
Made basically from Tempranillo, this Spanish red wine is nuanced with Grenache and Graciano. All come from vines grown in sandy-limestone soils.
Manually harvested, carefully selected and destemmed, alcoholic fermentation and skin maceration were carried out in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation took place in 225-litre oak barrels and 5,000-litre French oak vats, after which this red wine from La Rioja was aged for a period of 12 months.
After being blended and bottled, the red wine Lindes de Remelluri Viñedos de Labastida 2021 was aged for 12 months minimum before hitting the market.

Nose | Compellingly expressive and richly nuanced, this blend of Tempranillo, Grenache and Graciano carries subtle aromas of forest berries, broom, autumn leaves and forest flowers, with some understated spicy notes and some mineral and balsamic intimations. |
Palate | This wine from Bodega Granja Nuestra Sra. de Remelluri is linear, pure and fresh, with a steely acidity, nicely integrated tannins and long, elegant finish. Lovely and well-defined. |
