White Wine Louro do Bolo 2023
Availability: In stock
Produced by Rafael Palacios, member of a long and distinguished Spanish wine dinasty, the wine Louro do Bolo is made almost entirely from Godello grapes, nuanced with a droplet of Treixadura.
The grapes were sourced from estate vineyards, 20 to 45 years of age, situated at altitudes over 600 metres, near the village of O Bolo, in the dramatic landscape of the Bibei Valley, DO Valdeorras. The soils are mainly composed of granite and have very low levels of organic matter.
After a meticulous harvest, this Spanish white wine was fermented in round wooden vats made from French oak. Once the process was completed, the wine Louro do Bolo 2023 was aged on its lees for 4 months.
Made from one of Spain's most promising white grapes, this white wine from Valdeorras is characterful and elegant.
Pair this white wine from Galicia with shrimp and creamy cheeses.
Appearance | The white wine Louro do Bolo is medium straw with waxen tinges. |
---|---|
Nose | Intriguing nose, a combination of white fruit, white flowers, creamy notes and subtle touches of rosemary honey. This blend of Godello and Treixadura suggests some hints of bitter herbs and a great saline touch that bears witness to the wine's great terroir. |
Palate | Not your ordinary white, that's for sure. Rather complex, this white wine of Rafael Palacios is defined by a saline minerality, with notions of herbs, smoke, white flowers and white fruit. Structured and savoury, with a crisp acidity and a long, fruity finish. |
Our personal opinion | The wine Louro do Bolo 2023 is elegant and nuanced. |
