Whisky Macallan 12 Double Cask

One of the bottlings of the Double Cask product range of the Macallan distillery, the whisky Macallan 12 Double Cask is a fine example of the company’s uncompromising quality standards.

This Single Malt Whisky is made of two spirits that, after being meticulously crafted in the famous ‘little stills’ of Macallan, matured for 12 years in mostly American Sherry seasoned oak casks and also in European Sherry seasoned oak casks as well. After that, they were blended by the cellar master to produce this exquisite whisky.

Golden-coloured with some straw glints, this 12 year whisky carries subtle aromas of candied sugar, clove and cardamom, with some lactic, citrusy and toffee hints. The palate is well-rounded and gently sweet – courtesy of the American oak – with some coconut and fudge suggestions, underscored by candied orange peel and spices, evolving into white xocolate, vanilla and marzipan.
