The whisky Macallan Rare Cask was produced by the Macallan distillery in collaboration with renowned musician, Charlie Burchill of Simple Minds. Besides his talent for composing and playing music, Mr. Burchill is also a whisky connoisseur who has a knack for identifying uncommon tasting notes.

After a meticulous process of fermentation and distillation, this NAS whisky matured in American and European Oloroso seasoned oak casks. After that, this Single Malt Whisky was produced from the rarest and most distinctive oak casks of the batch, selected one by one by the Macallan team and Mr. Burchill to create a uniquely complex drinking experience.

This NAS Whisky is mahoganny-coloured with some copperish reflections. On the nose, this whisky from Speyside carries a distinctive aroma of raisins over a richly layered background of vanilla, green apples, dark chocolate and clove. The palate of the whisky Macallan Rare Cask is smooth and deep, with fine wood, sultanas and tobacco. The finish of this No-age-statement whisky is long and richly nuanced, with a gently creamy and citrusy aftertaste.
